Manual Handling

To comply with current Health & Safety legislation, workers engaged in manual handling must be given training in safe manual handling techniques. The training and knowledge provided will enable the learner to risk asses and safely carry out manual handling tasks.

This will reduce the risk of injuries particularly to the back. Back injuries caused by incorrect manual handling techniques are one of the most frequent causes of workers compensation claims. Provision of manual handling training is part of an employer’s legal requirements. Our instructors are experienced trainers and are fully compliant with the latest Fetac Level 6 Instructor requirements.

On compeltion of this course participants will be able to correctly assess a load, plan its movement, implement the movement and continually evaluate the movement.
