Occupational First Aid Refresher Training

An Occupational First Aid qualification is valid for two years when a one day refresher training course is required. The refresher training focuses on up skilling Learners in the knowledge and practical skills necessary for administering First Aid in the workplace. It incorporates the latest PHECC Guidelines.

The course includes:

• Unit 1 First aid in the workplace (including SI 299 of 2007)
• Unit 2 Patient assessment
• Unit 3 Respiratory emergencies
• Unit 4 Cardiac first response (includes Defibrillator Training) As per PHECC Guidelines 2011
• Unit 5 Wounds and bleeding
• Unit 6 Altered levels of consciousness
• Unit 7 Musculoskeletal injuries
• Unit 8 Burns and scalds, Poisons, chemicals, electric shock

Certification: Fetac level 5, 
Relevent to persons charged with First Aid in the workplace renewing their qualification every 2 years.
